When we think of high chairs, two words come to our mind: bars and babies. While not everybody who has a house has also a bar to need special chairs for it, every house which has a baby needs at least one high chair for the little infant or toddler. Mothers know this very well, because they’ve experienced the difficulty to feed a baby who doesn’t want to eat.

Of course, you can’t make a very little infant use such a chair before he is able to sit up independently. But from this moment on, you’ll see that life with a toddler is much easier when you can benefit of a high chair for the baby.

Baby High Chairs by Feature

Depending on their features, high chairs can be classified as it follows:

convertible chairs: as your baby grows, you may notice that you need to buy him a new chair from time to time, because the previous one becomes too high. This is not an impediment for convertible high chairs which are adjustable as the child grows. These chairs can have either classic or modern design, swivel seat and full recline options.

folding chairs: they do exactly what the name shows: allow folding when not in use, therefore helping the mother to gain space when the child is not using the chair. Slim and compact, they are a good choice for families who live in small spaces.

portable chairs: these are not exactly the typical high chairs you may be used to, but they can be a great alternative for them, thanks to their portability. They are suitable if you like to get out a lot with your baby, in visits, at the restaurant or in other places where you may need to make your baby sit.

reclining chairs: their biggest advantage is that you don’t have to wait until your baby is able to sit by himself to put him is such a chair. Thanks to the reclining seat which can have multiple positions, you can accommodate smaller babies to be comfortable in such a chair.

High Chairs by Style

standard high chairs: nothing unusual, these chairs have the common plastic frame, the adjustable feeding tray, the vinyl seat cushion and the strap to prevent the child from sliding down

wooden high chairs: suitable for parents who think of using the chair for more generations of children. They are extremely durable, sturdy and stable and easy to clean

modern high chairs: these will match a modern home, as they have futuristic designs and colors. Otherwise, their main functions are just the same

restaurant high chairs: some restaurant owners want their customers to feel at ease even if they wish to dine with their little babies. This is why they have these sturdy high chairs, which they keep handy for families with small children coming to eat out.

travel high chairs: very light and compact, these chairs will allow you to take your little baby when camping or making weekend trips. They are made of lightweight materials, for easier usage.
